Connecting to Gordon's
Secure Wireless Network

Gordon College offers a secure wireless network that can be accessed by computers with WPA compliant cards. Please READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. You should only have to follow these instructions once. After that, you will connect automatically whenever in range of the Gordon Wireless. If you have any problems please contact the Center for Educational Technologies (CET) at x4500 or cet@gordon.edu.
- Click your Windows/Start button at the bottom left of your screen.
- Right click on "Network".
- Click "Properties"
- Click "Manage Wireless Networks" on the left.
- You will see a list of all wireless networks your computer is set to automatically connect to.
- IMPORTANT: If any Gordon networks are listed (including Gordon_Wireless_Instructions, Gordon_Web_Only, or Gordon_Guest_Wireless) Click them and Click Remove
- After removing any Gordon networks, Click Add
- Click "Add a network that is in range of this computer"
- Scroll until you see "Gordon_WPA_Secure" and click it.
- Click "Connect"
- Click "Enter/select additional log on information".
- If you are prompted to enter a username/password, enter your Active Directory username/password (ususally firstname.lastname)
- If you get a security warning, click "Ok"
